This book was a challenge to design, pulling together stories and photographs from many individuals and sources, into a coherent title about the history of surfing and the people of one of Sydney’s most famous beaches, Maroubra, from the 1900s through to the 1930s to 1980s.

Pictorial History King Cross

One title of many from the successful series of Pictorial History books, this book on the history of Sydney’s famous Kings Cross area is full of historical black and white photographs, accompanied by informative text. The design of this book follows a tried and true formula of a three column design and basic grid in a landscape format, offering ease of readability and clear presentation of photographs.

Images were scanned and restored if badly damaged, reflecting the style of the era.

St Columba’s Rock Eisteddfod

A fun book to design, with an open brief from the client, which basically meant, here’s a bunch of photographs and text, turn it into a nice book please! This book is designed as a magazine/scrapbook style in an A4 format with a limp cover. Full colour throughout, it weaves together the achievements of St. Columba’s College in Essendon Victoria whilst performing in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge from 1987–2008.

Full of colourful photographs, posters and stories from staff and students, this book successfully brings together the Eisteddfod achievements of the College.
